Agile Working at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

Richard Matt, Associate Director, Business Technology, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust “Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust has embraced agile working by supplying community staff with a solution allowing full mobility for point-of-care clinicians. As well as helping the Trust to achieve their goal of being paper-free, agile working empowers staff to work where, when and how they choose – with maximum flexibility and minimum constraints – to optimise their performance and deliver the best possible care. Our staff will travel only when required and straight to the location, not via an office. Agile working supports the new service model of moving care from functional silos to multi-professional and multi-agency teams.”

Supply chain management

Musgrove Park Hospital, part of Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is utilising Ingenica Solutions’ 360 IM, the first GS1 certified inventory management solution in healthcare. The hospital manages inventory, and supports patient level costing, showcasing excellence in NHS supply chain management and procurement.  Good data drives all purchasing decisions: improving productivity, and operational efficiency; achieving cost savings, increasing stock control and visibility, enabling product standardisation and rationalisation; and reducing wastage.
