Insource has announced enhancements to its Patient Pathway Plus solution utilised by NHS trusts for integrated management of elective care pathways.
The company has worked with Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to make improvements including user experience improvements and improved filtering of huge pathway lists.
Jon Lawton, Head of Information Business Development for the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group said of the improvements “At Salford Royal we were already delighted with the impact of PP+ in that it makes accurate RTT reporting available at the press of a button. These user-driven improvements provide us with even more confidence as we roll out the application across the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group.”
Steve Chokr, Deputy Chief Information Officer at Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust, said of the collaboration for improvement “We are really pleased that Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust has made these positive contributions to the continued development of PP+. Management of our elective care pathways is a major focus for us and all the great work being done by the Salford/Insource partnership will benefit Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust when we upgrade to this next version. We are aiming to replicate this work in collaboration with Insource on other aspects of the Health Data Enterprise suite, in particular with regard to women’s health.”
The upgrade is free for Insource’s customers, new and existing. The enhancements also give users the ability to now bookmark searches and easily highlight last viewed pathways. The partnership said this has significant time-saving benefits as analyst hours spent scrolling through long lists to establish the last pathway viewed are eliminated.
