Cegedim Healthcare Solutions, the supplier of the Vision primary care clinical system, has announced a new contract award for its cloud-based product in Scotland.
Following a call-off contract placed by NHS Tayside in July, the first GP practice in the area has gone live with the new Vision product on cegedim.cloud platform.
This represents a seven-year contract with a three-year extension opportunity for the Health Board, awarding the contract to Cegedim under this managed services framework.
A pilot has launched with Tay Court Surgery, one of the early adopters of Vision Anywhere in Tayside; this will be followed by a staged roll-out across NHS Tayside this month.
Russell Hale, Information Technology Manager at the Tay Court Surgery, commented: “The migration to the new system has been a smooth process so far, with plenty of support along the way. It does require some preparation work and engagement by the practice users adopting the new system, but this is minimal and has been worthwhile.
“Users have commented on the considerable improvement to speed and it is a great benefit that the process of logging into the service is virtually identical to the process for the previous GP server. The whole process of migrating from first contact to post-live has been well supported by the Cegedim teams.”
Lana Chubakha, Managing Director Primary Care, Cegedim Healthcare Solutions, added: “We are happy to receive such positive feedback from a delighted customer, and we are looking forward to many more during the full rollout in Tayside. The solution supports delivery of improved patient facing services and enhances the patient experience and is a significant step towards the digital transformation of Scottish Primary Care and our role in supporting the NHS on this journey.”
