Cerner makes £282 million data and analytics consultancy acquisition

Cerner has announced an agreement to acquire a data, analytics and research consultancy for £282 million.

The acquisition of the health division of Kantar Health, a London based global analytics company, is expected to support Cerner’s client base engage with life sciences for funded research studies, and harness data initiatives on a large scale.

Kantar Health employs 28,000 people and works across 90 markets, supporting organisations collect data digitally and share insights in real time, offering self service solutions, and AI and machine learning tools.

The acquisition is anticipated to close in the first half of 2021.
